Ruffled crossover V-neck bamboo nightie with swing sleeves Black or Grey Small - XL
This pretty nightshirt is of 95% Bamboo and 5% Spandex. It is stock from my shop which I have closed. I will no longer be carrying this line and once they are sold, they will not be repeated. First in best dressed.
It was made in a factory in China owned by a friend, who pioneered the processing of bamboo fibre in an eco-friendly way, sustainably, using natural dyes and a biodegradable process.
The nightshirt is below the knee, and has short sleeves cut in a circle so they swing and hang very loosely over your upper arm. The front of the gown crosses over to the waist. The soft gathers are on one side, the top layer that crosses over. The back has two darts for shape.
This nightie is so pretty it can even be worn over a pair of leggings out. It is clingy but is so wonderfully comfortable to sleep in. Bamboo is a temperature control fabric which wicks away sweat from the body and cools you faster than cotton.
The v-neck cross over front is handy for breast feeding, or if it is gapey at the front on you, it can be secured with a single stitch at the front V so that it does not open and stays in place.
This gown is 95% Bamboo and 5% Spandex.
Sizing is approximately: Small = Size 10, Medium = Size 12, Large = Size 14, X-Large = Size 16-18
For those who are not familiar with Bamboo. It is a cellulose based fabric, a natural fabric made from Bamboo wood. It breathes very well and is a good temperature control fabric.
Care instructions:
Wash normally in the machine, preferably in a delicates washing bag so that it does not get twisted with the rest of your laundry. This can stretch it so keeping it in the washing bag stops this from happening.
Hang to dry but do not hang on a hanger. Bamboo when it is wet is very heavy and it can stretch the fabric if it is on a hanger. Instead hang over the clothes line or clothes horse in half and allow to dry naturally.
You can use a dryer on low heat but bear in mind that clothes dryers are not that kind on the clothes. Your gown will last much longer if you do not use the dryer. Bamboo does take a while longer to dry than cotton because it holds so much water between the fibres, but drying it naturally literally doubles its life.
